Nutella Banana Bread

I love banana bread and I love nutella.  Put the two together and it's basically crack.  I always surprise myself at how easy it is to make banana bread.  It seems like such a task to make a loaf, but really its like ten minutes of prep, plop it in the oven, and in about 45 minutes your house smells amazing and you have  a yummy desert!
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 Cups Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 3 Medium Ripe Mashed Bananas
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 Cup Nutella
Makes 1 loaf and six muffins (makes a little extra batter ;))
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease bread  pan... grease it real good!
  • In a medium sized bowl combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Combine well
  • In a large mixing bowl combine sugar, brown sugar, and butter.  Blend until well combined and fluffy
  • Add eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla.  Combine well
  • Stir in dry ingredients and mix until the ingredients are barely blended together. Try not to over mix
  • In a separate bowl mix together nutella and one cup of batter
  • In bread pan alternate the two mixtures, filling the pan about half way.  Fill muffin tin with excess batter
  • Swirl two batters together with a knife
  • Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
  • Cool on a cooling rack for 10 minutes and enjoy!
